I am very excited to be the new media specialist here at Autaugaville School.  This is my thirteenth year in education.  I taught third grade for one year at Knox Elementary School in Selma, Alabama.  The remaining eleven years were with the Dallas County School System in Selma, Alabama.  I taught second grade for three years at Valley Grande Elementary in Valley Grande, Alabama.  I have been a media specialist for nine years.  I served as media specialist for one year between two elementary schools, J.E. Terry Elementary and Shiloh Elementary.  I was the media specialist for seven years at Southside High School in Selma, Alabama.

I was adopted by my loving parents at six months of age.  I have lived in Selma, Alabama all my life.  I am a mother to three grown children, two boys and a girl.  My college experience was different from most because I was working and raising three young children.  I would not trade the experience for anything in the world.  I am expecting my first grandchild to be born on February, 2010.  Needless to say, I am very, very, very, excited.....!!!
