Education

I earned my Translator Certificate for French/ English in the spring of 2002. I earned my B. A. in French: Business Track with a Minor in Information Management from California State University, San Bernardino in the spring of 2004. I returned in the fall of 2005 to get my California Teaching Credential for French. While enrolled in the teaching program, I worked as an intern in the San Bernardino City Unified School District and completed my student teaching in the Corona-Norco Unified School District in the winter of 2006.



Experience

I have been teaching for over 10 years in both Alabama and California. My primary certificate is for French, which I have been teaching until the 2018-2019 school year, in which I have recently added Business Education. Prior to teaching I worked in private sector businesses in various capacities. I spent 2 years as a Shipping and Logistics Supervisor for Foxconn, Hon Hai Logistics at Hewlett-Packard Computers. I was employed for 2 Years as a Marketing Director at a small environmental manufacturing company. I worked for 5 years as a Warehouse Coordinator and Route Driver for a long term care pharmacy serving Southern California. I also work as a freelance Translator/Interpreter of the French language. During my senior year of college, I completed an internship at the U.S. Department of Commerce Export Assistance Center.



Bio

My name is Glen E. Provence. I am a Native of Southern California but moved to Alabama in 2008. My wife also teaches here. We have two children, a son and a daughter.

 I have been coaching soccer for 8 years; and am the soccer coach this year. I also assist with the football team.

 This is my first year at Autaugaville School. I have been teaching for over 10 years in both Alabama and California.
