I am a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and attended the University of Louisiana at Monroe. During my time at ULM, I received a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology, a Master's Degree in Exercise Science, and a Master's Degree in Special Education.

I have had the privilege of teaching for the past 12 years in various special education settings. I have taught and lived in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. My husband and I moved here with our 3 beautiful children 2 years ago. This is my third year teaching at Autaugaville School and I have appreciated every moment.

It is my goal as a professional educator to ensure that the needs of my students are met on a daily basis. All children are different and have different learning styles. We celebrate our differences and encourage one another to always do our very best. I have a genuine passion for my students and always strive to ensure that I am meeting them where they are; adapting my teaching style to help every child reach their individualized goals. In my classroom, students have the opportunity to learn from one another, learn positive advocacy skills, and learn how to set and achieve personal goals. I will provide a positive and safe atmosphere along with developmentally appropriate learning environment to motivate the learning of each student. It is my deepest belief, that all students should be included in school-wide activities inspite of their differences. We all deserve a chance to belong and that is what I strive to create for my students.
